Valentine Fun
I have one more valentine entry before we start thinking about Easter cards! This time I am using a Kokorosa Custom cutting die called a ‘Big Love Heart Background Die. I am calling it a heart collage die! I purchased a similar collage die a while back and I cut it apart to die cut the pieces. See that card HERE. This time I left all the die pieces connected and just ran it through that way. It worked much better and I had main pieces for two cards.
If you look closely, you can see that the left one has the dotted designer series paper (DSP) on the outside border with the real red on the inside which frames the pieces. The card on the right has the real red on the outside with the dotted designer series paper on the inside.
To keep the card from being too busy, I used only three different DSP designs. I could run the diagonal paper all at once but I selectively added the three hearts and the three ‘love’ letters. The DSP is from……

It is a 6 X 6 Pad with 24 double sided sheets in 12 designs. I wish it said what card weight it is because it is much thicker than my other DSP sheets. It made the mini mailbox project shown below much easier since I didn’t need to add layers for sturdiness. Can you pick out which sheets I used on the cards? Here they are again:

For the inside of the valentines, I used the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! The die cuts out the circle leaving the word ‘hugs’.

I used the ‘Embrace Each Moment’ Stampin’ Up! set for the greetings on both cards. The Stampin’ Up! ‘Lakeside Framelits Die cut out the ‘wishing you joy & blessings’ and I stamped the holding hands in grey, stamping off and then stamping on white so it was very light and I could stamp the ‘you will always be my forever’ in red on top of the grey. I cut out the three circles with the Layering Circles Dies rather than try to write over the DSP.

For my other valentine project, I made a mini mailbox! They are all over pinterest and I wanted to try my hand at creating one. I wrote down directions for three different ones and then took ideas from each and made my own design with a few extras- I called it ‘Paul’s Mailbox’!

It holds two Hershey Nuggets. I didn’t glue the nuggets to the little box so you could eat your chocolates and not ruin the little box. The two sided DSP was great for having a fun inside and for creating a flag by centering a heart from the pink background side to punch with the Mini Banner Punch. The other side then matches the box. You do need to be careful because the DSP is so thick. I am used to breaking the fibers to get a curve with the bone folder but that ruined the paper, so just carefully fold your base with your fingers if you have stiff DSP.
How true – and several others that I really should keep since I do use them. I just hoped to make room by selling all the wooden ones but it would be better to make room by taking them off the blocks and putting them in CD cases.
Recipe
- Base: DSP, 1 1/2″ X 4 1/2″, score at 1″ and 3 7/8″, Burnish the score lines and form a gentle curve, adhere at bottom
- Back and the Door: DSP, 1″ X 3 7/8″, score each end at 1 1/4 before rounding the ends.
- I made a template out of white cardstock to fussy cut a rounded end; you could also use the 2nd smallest circle framelit to get a nice rounded cut but I was making multiples and either cut the end too much or too little with the framelit so I just fussy cut from a template. It took a couple tries to get the size correct on the template because I wanted the back to fit snugly and not need glued. You can make a strip 1 1/2 X 1/4, scored at 3/4, to glue the back in place but if it fits snugly you can actually use it to push the chocolates out the front! Adhere this strip to the bottom of the mailbox coming in 1/16″ from the back. I adhered so the opposite side of the DSP with the pink background was facing up.
Looks like a large bandaid!
- Flag & Flagpole: DSP strip, 3 1/4 X 3/16, score at 1 5/8. The diagonal striped paper in the DSP was perfect for cutting a dark red strip that would have the same sheen as the mailbox pieces. I used the Mini Banner Punch for the flag centering a heart from the DSP. Manually, you could use a 3/4 long by 5/8 high square and cut one side to be a banner. Fold the flag pole in half and glue the flag between the front and back close to the fold. On the side of the mailbox punch a small hole 5/8″ up from the bottom and 1/2″ over from the front. Punch a hole 1/4″ up on the flagpole ( I used a paper piercer tool for the holes) and use a tiny brad to attach the flagpole to the mailbox. Your flag moves!! When you put in the chocolates, turn the mailbox upside down and put in the top nugget first, then the second nugget to avoid getting stuck on the brad on the inside.
- Handle: DSP with pink background, the handle in the ‘Sliding Door Framelits Dies’ fit perfectly over the heart. It made the handle look like it was a die cut heart but it is really a circle. Fold the handle right at the circle , punch a hole 1/2″ down and 1/2″ over on the front flap of the mailbox, punch a hole in the handle and adhere with a brad. Put a bit of glue on the backside of the handle since you don’t want it to move.
- Heart: Basic White scrap, I found a perfect sized heart in the Circle Card Thinlits die set. Stamp the greeting from ‘Love & Happiness’ stamp set with Real Red ink and then die cut. Sign then mount with glue dots over the brad.
- Envelope: Scrap of white cut 1″ X 5/8″ and scrap of red for a tiny heart. Score the front diagonally corner to corner for an envelope look or use the Kokorosa cutting die which has three sizes of envelopes and three little hearts to die cut. I purchased through InLoveArts but it came in Kokorosa packaging.
I thought you were trying to make more room in your craft closet.
Yes, I am beginning to think it is more about having new things to craft with than creating a stash to use. Wait ’til you see my Easter cards!

I love-love-love the heart on the back with the letters from ‘Valentine’ in red on the scripture John 3:16!
I want to make some Easter gifts like this so I measured out the cuts and score lines:
Lisa’s was 12 3/4 X 3 1/2 scored at 4 7/8, 6 1/4, 11 1/4 with the 1 1/2 edge punched with a scallop punch. The front cutout is a 2 1/8″ square. The heart is 3 3/4″. The greeting is a die cut 2 X 1 3/8 with a to/from tag that is 1 3/4 X 5/8. She stapled a clear bag with goodies to the back of the bag, added tiny velcro under the flap and made a red bow for the top.
That is a problem so I adjusted the measurements for a 12″ piece of paper:
- 12 X 3 1/2, scored at 4 1/2, 5 7/8, 10 1/2 still leaving 1 1/2 for the flap.
But you just purchased 6 X 6 Easter paper pads.
Another problem for sure, so I adjusted again only this time added glue tabs since I need three cuts of paper.
- Front: DSP, 6 X 3 1/2, scored at 4 1/2 leaving 1 1/2 for the base tab. Die cut a square in the front 3/4″ from bottom and sides.
- Back: DSP, 6 X 3 1/2, scored at 4 5/8 leaving a 1 3/8 for the base tab. The extra length in the back makes the front curve out nicely.
- Flap: Matching card stock 2″ X 3 1/2′ scored at 1/2″
I haven’t made them yet but now I have instructions that fit my paper!
And Jaxson made a card for Papa and Grandma and a card for Ruger. Both had treats inside:

Valentine’s Day Pop Up Card
Would you like to see what I made for the grandchildren’s valentines? Do you ever see a card creation and say -“That is perfect”- what do I need to buy to make it? That was me when I opened a post of Deb Valder’s at Teaspoon of Fun. She had a pop up card with teddy bears! Yep – had to have the stamp, and the dies! Check it out:

You pull the little heart to pull up the inside of the card. When it is flat it fits in an A2 envelope. The ‘Always In My Heart’ Stampin’ Up! set was the pull out greeting.
I will link the Stole My Heart stamp set at Teaspoon of Fun at the end with little Sal in the computer. The dies are available as well at Teaspoon of Fun.

Do those cards open up sideways as well?
No, Sal, those cards are a vertical card with a full base that opens up. On the children’s valentines, I didn’t make a full base like those, I left enough space before the “Hi there, Valentine”, to write their name with a white gel pen. These are the products I used that I purchased from Teaspoon of Fun:

Recipe
- Optional Base: Real Red, 4 1/4 X 5 1/2; or a folded base 51/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Base as shown here, or Layer 1 on option: 4 1/4 X 5 1/2, Diecut with the large rectangle die in the ArtZy die set
- Stamp Greeting in lower section by temporarily lining up the pull up mechanism
- Pull Out Panel: Basic White, 3 X 4 3/8
- Stamp greeting before adhering; note: this greeting shows at the top as you pull up the panel
- Top Layer: Basic White, 4 1/4 X 5 1/4, Diecut with the smaller rectangular die of the set -burnish score lines
- Flip this over and adhere the small rectangle cut out of Basic White to the 1/2″ bottom of the flap
- Place foam strips around the sides and bottom of the pop up feature and adhere to card base
- Embellish:
- Scraps of red and white, Cut two circles & heart pieces and adhere to both sides of the pull out panel
- Love Designer series Paper (X2), 2 1/2 X 1 1/2 , Diecut with larger recrtangle; make two
- Love Designer series Paper, 2 1/2 X 1/2, Diecut with smallest rectangle
- Bears: Stole My Heart Stamp Set & Die, Basic White 3 1/2 X 3 1/2
- Stamp in Memento Black Ink, Die cut with die in set
- Copic Markers, cheeks- RV11, Bears-E31, E33, E13, Heart-R24, R27, R59
- Love Flourish: Love Designer Series Paper, 2 1/4 X 1 1/2 (I used the same DSP as the small rectangle)
- Cut two additional flourishes in real red and layer the three
- Heart: Many Hearts Dies
- Outside Heart, Real Red, 2 1/2 X 2 1/2
- Inside Heart, Basic White, 2 3/4 X 2 1/2 with this set of dies you can glue the red directly to the white
That’s not so complicated when you show a video and your dimensions and all the products you used.
Well, Sal, I list those so I have a good start when I make another. My card journaling so to speak.

Jo Brooks February 2024 Shoebox Event
The shoebox event fell on Valentine’s Day this month and we had a wonderful time making valentines and then eating at the Carriage Shops Tea House- and our husbands were invited! The men went and had coffee while we made our cards and then they joined us for lunch.
Jo’s first card uses Stampin’ Up!’s Dry Brushed Metallic Paper and Brushed Shapes Dies:
The middle of the big heart is the inside cut out of the heart and is popped up. The corner rounding on the inside adds a nice touch! To catch the glimmer of the paper I somehow lost the bright white cardstock.
I left the inside blank and then when I needed an anniversary card I pulled out the Memorable Moments stamp set and the gold embossing powder and a turquoise embossing powder. I tilted the card to see if I could get the gold and turquoise glossy look but couldn’t. It was a perfect match for the DSP colors! Treasures Of The Heart was used for the little greeting at the bottom.
Jo’s second card is so fun:
I will love sending this to my mom as she spent many years on a ranch!

Christine Dillon January 2024 Shoebox Event
What a great way to start the 2024 year of stamping with Christine Dillon as our hostess for the shoebox event. We take turns each month designing two cards and making card kits for each person to construct at the event.

Christine used the Delicate Edge Dies to create the black borders on either side of the foiled Designer Series Paper- the foil isn’t showing in the picture but it is beautiful. The Deco Labels Framelits made a perfect greeting with a second cut to be a frame of the greeting. The little gold metallic butterfly was an ideal embellishment.
Her second card was a valentine card:
The Sunshine Wishes Die was used for the heart and love word. What a great combination of red and black to match the red and black in the Designer Series Paper. I love the layers of white on red and then layered on the Designer Series Paper. I left the inside blank so I could add a greeting later.
You need to follow her example of using a button since you have so many buttons in your stash.
I do have a lot of buttons, Sal, and need to remember to use them. Thank you, Christine, for a great shoebox event.

Bee With Heart
Let’s take a trip to a fantasy land where bees are pink! I used a digital stamp by Connie Fong called Bee With Heart! I saw this cute pink bee on a card by Gloria Shirr and just “had to have whatever stamp it was”. You all know that feeling! Little did I know it would lead me to a new world– digital stamping!

. After printing the digital images on Basic White cardstock, I cut them out with a Stampin’ Up! ‘Deckled Rectangles Die’ and adhered to a layer of retired pink marble designer series paper. For the inside greeting I used Stampin’ Up!’s ‘Prized Peony’ stamp set. By duplicating the images and printing landscape I could print four fronts to a sheet of 8 1/2 X 11. The digital stamp set has a boy bee and a girl bee with two greetings and a flower. Here is the second greeting on a card for my mother.

. The inside greeting is a stamp Lucille gave me before she moved far far away to New Jersey. Miss you, friend! The clear heart and pink pearls are retired Stampin’ Up! embellishments.
Well, Sal, we learned to do mirror images with regular stamps using the stamparatus and a silicon sheet, but with a digital stamp it is just a click of a button!
Recipe
- Base: Basic White 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Border Layer: Designer Series Paper (DSP), 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
- Top Layer: Basic White 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 cut with Second Largest Deckled Rectangle Die
- Inside Strip: DSP, 1/2 X 5 3/8
- Embellishments: 3 pink pearls for outside, 4 clear dots for middle of flowers and 1 clear heart on inside
- Copic Markers
- RV10 and RV23 for the bee’s body and heart
- RV09 for the Nose and Inside of the flowers
- R00 and a tiny touch of RV10 for the wings and then a coat of Wink Of Stella

Cherished Friend Valentine
Our stamping group met together on the traditional second Tuesday of the month and it just happened to be Valentine’s Day this year! I pulled out my ‘hearts’ collection and created a heart of hearts Valentine similar to a card made by Mary Herdt only monochromatic red and white with different embossing folders, a different background for the hearts and hearts instead of flowers for bling. I will note the products I used in the recipe.

Yes, and handwriting is not my forte.
Recipe
- Base: Thick Basic White, 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 5 1/2
- Stamp the lace look 1 1/2 down from the top and 1 1/2 up from the bottom with retired Delicate Details stamp (note: I used the Stamparatus so I could stamp twice for a darker image)
- Stamp ‘Cherished Friend’ with greeting from Lovely You stamp set
- Inside Layer: Basic White, 4 X 5 1/4, stamped with Real Red using 2 stamps from the retired Valentine Love
- Sparkly Background: Red Glitter Paper, 2 1/2 (minus a hair so 2 7/16) X 4 1/4 (minus a hair so 4 3/16)
- It is a good idea to cut your background paper just slightly smaller than the top layer
- Top Layer: Basic White, 2 1/2 X 4 1/4, die cut with Blooming Happiness Die
- after rolling out the little cuts, push the little leaves up from the backside for more texture
- Three Smallest Hearts: Basic White, 2 1/4 X 2 1/4, Cut and embossed using the retired Embosslits Fashionable Hearts
- Large Hearts (X2): Basic White, 2 X 2, punch with the retired heart punch which measures 1 3/4 across at the top
- Emboss one with the Ornate Flower 3D embossing folder
- Emboss the other with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder
- Bling it up!
- Two red Glossy Dots
- Two connected hearts die cut from the Many Hearts Die (from the long die of hearts cut just the two connected hearts fussy cutting the two away from the other hearts
I bet they can use any of their heart’s stash of stamps and dies to make a similar card!
Yes, Sal, and any embossing folder could be used!

I made a Valentines Day card since I had all those supplies sitting at my work table, and then I used the same design for February thank you cards. Another sincere thank you to all those who ordered in February! Oops…. That’s why I have you!
I used the ‘Always In My Heart’ stamp set for Be My Valentine on a banner die cut from the Floral Heart Dies. The paper is the ‘Sweet Talk’ Designer Series Paper in the mini catalog. I fussy cut candies for the inside. The Happy Valentine’s Day fits so perfectly in the opening and is from the retired ‘Heartfelt’ stamp set. The ribbon is the Faux Linen Real Red ribbon from the mini catalog.
For the Thank You card and a card for Mom I made these:

The paper is from the ‘Flowering Fields’ designer series paper, also in the mini catalog and I used the ‘Jar of Flowers’ stamp set to make a bouquet the perfect size for the pocket opening. I had a stack of products by the time I finished:
- Delivering Cheer stamp set – shadow under the jar
- Positve Thoughts stamp set – Hugs, Prayers, Love
- Forever Blossoms stamp set – All of me loves all of you
- Prized Peony stamp set – Love & thanks to a dear friend
- Jar of Flowers stamp set – Tulips & stems, jar stamped on a window sheet with stazon ink
- Detailed Bands Dies – cut once in Basic White and once in Fresh Freesia
- Stampin’ Blends – Lt Fresh Freesia, Dk & Lt Soft Succulent, Dk Rich Razzleberry, Lt Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch
To the above CTC instructions I added a Gorgeous Grape belly band permanently attached – 1″ X 8 1/4″, score at 1/4″ and then gently fold to determine where it will wrap on the side, then score that fold.
For the bow on the jar I used a 1/8″ X 4″ strip of Gorgeous Grape and folded in a 45 degree fold to which I added a second 1/8″ X 1 1/2″ strip tucked in at the fold.
I also added a 3 X 4 Basic White piece to go on back of the insert for writing a message, a doily and three little brass butterflies.
. I love the little fussy cut flower laying on the ground in the insert! Nice touch.

Sharon did three different cards – the pocket card and then used the pieces for two others. She used the ‘Expressions In Ink’ designer series paper and a paper bow from the ‘Pierced Blooms Dies’.

We have done front panel cards before but this one is a bit different because it has a ‘false’ bottom that does not attach to the panel. You put an extra piece of black cardstock at the bottom to give it the dimensional look (and a great way to line up the white inside piece).
So we really don’t need to watch the video, do we?!
Besides showing off the beautiful True Love Designer Series Paper, in the video I taught:
- how to make a three loop bow with your fingers- the video is a great way to learn and practice.
- how to use the edge pieces of your Designer Series Paper- obvious in the picture, but we sometimes forget.
- how to make a pop up slimline card with interesting folds that are a bit complicated to describe with words.

This card was cased from Peggy Noe of Pretty Paper Cards. I added the bow where she put a greeting and I used three flowers and an inside flower to remind us why we don’t throw away those scraps.

Good thinking, Sal, I saw the base for this card on Karen Aicken’s Painted Mountain Cards site. The ‘Many Hearts Dies’ , ‘Floral Heart Dies’, Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and the Pastel Pearls were used.
- Base: Highland Heather, 3 1/2 X 8 1/2 and another piece 3 1/2 X 6 scored on the longside at 1/2″; fold on the score line and glue to the longer piece. The short side is the front.
- Front Border: Seaside Spray, 3 1/4 X 5 1/4. (the video uses Misty Moonlight)
- Front Layer: Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper, 3 1/8 X 5 1/8

- Heart Front: Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper, Use the plain heart die from ‘Many Hearts Dies’ to cut a bouquet from the Designer Series Paper. There are two different designs as you can see by the heart inserts in the pictures, one is the muted, water color look and the other is a rich, bold hydrangea design.
- Greeting on the front right: Whisper White, 1 1/2 X 2 1/2, die cut with the ‘Stitched So Sweetly Die’ and stamp with “Be My Valentine” from the ‘Always In My Heart’ Stamp set using Gorgeous Grape Ink
- Inside Pop up base; Seaside Spray, 3 X 8 or Misty Moonlight
- Inside Top: Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper, 2 7/8 X 7 7/8
- Embellishments: 5 Pastel Pearls, 16″ White Twine wrapped around front and back as a belly band
Let’s make the inside pop up:
- Temporarily adhere your DSP Pop Up piece (2 7/8 X 7 7/8) to the Cardstock 3 X 8 piece. I use a touch of snail on each corner and then rub it with my finger so the oils in my finger take away some of the stickiness. Dotto is also a temporary adhesive. You want to cut both pieces together so the cuts line up nicely but you will pull off the top DSP piece to cut the fancy hearts with your dies. Make an arrow on your base and the back of your DSP to realign them after die cutting the hearts.
- Using your paper trimmer, start your cut 1/2″ down and 1″ over on the long side at the right and cut to within 1/2″ of bottom (7 3/4).
- now turn your paper to the other side and do the same, starting the cut 1/2″ down and 1″ over and cutting to within 1/2″ of bottom.
. - After you make both cuts, score the two attached pieces at 2″- 4″ -6″. Then score the little section at the very middle, 1/2″ over. You will reinforce those scores again later but you need to see that middle 4″ score to line up the hearts die.
- Separate your two pieces and put a piece of double back adhesive on the back of the DSP (page 162 of the AC).
- Die cut the hearts. I used the die from the ‘Many Hearts Dies’ for the middle, centering the very middle of the die on the middle of the DSP; four hearts on the right and four hearts on the left. The little row of hearts on the top and bottom are from the ‘Floral Heart Dies’. Both are in the JJ Mini.
- Remove the adhesive backing and attach the DSP to the pop up base. Paper piece the middle hearts in place.
- Run the piece through the cutting machine with no dies. This pushes the adhesive into the cardstock so the pieces stay well adhered.
- Rescore your pieces. 1/2″ at the middle sides and then at 2-4-6. The paper trimmer score blade works better than the Simply Scored to do this because you can line the edge exactly with the inch marks.
- Now you are ready to fold the pop ups. Start with the partial 1/2″ on each side as a valley fold-downward then take each strip and alternate valley, mountain, valley…..
Okay, now I see why the video is so important!
Yes, Sal, it is easier to understand while watching me do the folds, and you can stop the video, fold, and then restart the video.
- Train your pop up. You want the middle section mountains to go out when folded to even the bulk of the pop up.
- Now that you have it trained, let’s push all the folds back and make a half fold. You need to fold all the sections back down flat and fold the piece in half.
- Put adhesive on the back of your right hand side backwards C.
- Line the middle of the pop up just a couple hairs to the right of the middle fold of the base. It is bulky so you don’t want it directly on the fold.
- Now put adhesive on the back of the left hand side C.
- Fold the left side of the pop up on top of the glued down right hand side and then shut your base on the pop up to adhere the left side. This is critical for placement of the pop up.
- Retrain your folds!
Now you can layer up all your fronts, add a greeting and bling, tie twine around the middle for a belly band and prop it on your mantel to admire before you send it away to some very special person!

Sending Flowers Dies & Sending You Thoughts Stamp Set
I have one card to show you using ‘Sending You Thoughts’ stamp set and its coordinating ‘Sending Flowers Dies’.
But that stamp set doesn’t have any flowers to cut out?!
No, but the dies have two labels which fit some of the greetings perfectly, one label is scalloped and one label has polka dots for all my polka dot loving stampers. Take a look see:
The background paper is a foil paper in the ‘From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper’ (DSP) . The picture doesn’t do the foil justice.

Base: Thick Whisper White 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 Scored at 4 1/4

Silhouette Scenes & Heart Foil Tin Brownies

How was your Valentines Day?
Mine was phenomenal! My grandsons gave me chocolates and a card and flowers via their folks and Paul brought home chocolates and had my favorite flowers delivered – carnations! I was very spoiled and loved every minute!
I made Paul a card similar to the one on page 132 of the annual catalog.
I changed it up a bit by using the rectangle stitched framelits and a Blueberry Bushel layer on a Balmy Blue card base. I attached a double sided adhesive sheet on the back of White Velvet Sheets (retired), cut out the ‘forever’ using the Sweet Silhouettes Dies and adhered it to a piece of Bluberry Bushel. I cut around the word to make a nice background. Lately, I have been seeing a lot of words embossed in white embossing powder on black paper and then cut out around the words. I liked that look so I imitated it here.
Measurements:
Base: Balmy Blue 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Layer 1: Blueberry Bushel 4 1/8 X 5 3/8 (make 2-one for the inside)
Layer 2: See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper 4 X 5 1/4
Together Greeting: Balmy Blue 2 X 1 1/2 cut with Rectangle Stitched Framelit to 1 11/16 X 1 3/16
Silhouette : Whisper White 3 3/4 X 2 1/4 cut with Rectangle Stitched Framelit to 3 9/16 X 2 3/16
Forever: White Velvet DSP 3 1/2 X 1 1/2
Background of Forever: Blueberry Bushel 3 1/2 X 1 1/2
For the inside I printed a poem I wrote on Whisper White cardstock and cut it to 7 3/4 X 5 1/4 scored at 3 15/16 (one hair less than 4 inches) and glued just the right side to a Blueberry Bushel layer.
And for my family and special neighbors I made brownies in the Heart Foil Tins ( page 9 of the mini catalog).
One brownie mix made all 10! I washed the tins really well and sprayed them with PAM no stick spray then cooked them at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. (18 minutes would have been better)
The tins have high-dome lids so you can decorate them as you wish. I used the German Chocolate Coconut Pecan Icing.
For the lid I used several of those fun supplies from the suite on page 9 of the mini. I layered:
- A Heart Doily (stamped on the back-see below)
- A punched out scallop from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper using the Heart Punch Pack
- A punched straight edge heart from the same DSP using the Heart Punch Pack
- A retired pink heart jewel
A little red bow at the front completed the project. I put two glue dots on the inside of the lid to hold it on better.
On the back of the doilies I stamped Happy Valentines Day from the retired ‘Valentine Love’ stamp set and used three glue dots to adhere the whole set of hearts to the lid. The lid is clear so the greeting shows through when they open up their goody.
If you don’t have food in the tin you can punch another heart for inside the lid. Also, the heart doilies fit perfectly in the bottom of the tin for further bling. The heart tins wash up to use again.
What’s the point of posting valentines after the day has come and gone?
Ahh Sal, love is in the air everywhere and with anniversaries and birthdays we can change up the greetings and delight someone’s heart any time of year!
If you haven’t met your neighbors, try making a batch of brownies in heart tins with great big hello greetings and take them around as you introduce yourself.
