Swap Cards From Club Members
Hello Stamping Friends,
You must see these amazing swap cards I received in January! We have an ongoing club – virtual right now- and our members choose to swap or not each month. In January six members participated in the swap. You, too, can join or start a club! Club members receive free catalogs, card kits for each month of club and the opportunity to be the hostess as we rotate members (this means free products!). Contact me at stampalosopher@gmail,com!
Jo used a bridge fold to make this stunning card with Grace’s Garden Stamp Set and Garden Gateway dies. I missed purchasing the water fountain stamp set before it retired. I loved the birds but couldn’t think how I could use the fountain. Now I know!
Isn’t Joy’s card delightful? She used products from the Ice Cream Corner Suite in the JJ catalog page 49 and the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The inside was stamped: “With Sprinkles On Top” and she wrote “why not?” It brought a smile to my day!
Suzi’s card is unique with a layer on top of two sections of Bumble Bee paper embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder. When closed the card looks like it has just one layer of embossed paper. The greeting is from the Blossoms In Bloom stamp set cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. The gorgeous flower is from the Prized Peony stamp set. What beautiful coloring!
Lori’s card is made with the Poppy Moments Dies which can be bundled with the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set for a 10% savings. The basket weave embossing folder and the Vertical Greetings stamp set are perfect for a background. I hope you got both of these before they retired.
Wow! Sometimes I growl at my pictures because they don’t catch the beauty of the card but this time I was delighted! Lucille’s card practically glows! She used the fold from the Mystery Card #8 at the end of December. The Peaceful Poppy designer Series Paper is retired but hopefully in your stash for cards like this. Lucille used the Stitched Shapes Dies for the ovals.
Sharon’s card is so unique and it has a glimmer paper strip at the bottom with the top cut short so you see it from the outside and the inside! Such a perfect New Year’s card to welcome in 2021 with banners and firework like stars!
My swap was a New Year’s card, too, and you saw it and the instructions in my previous post.
Thank you for spending some time today with my stamping friends and our swap cards!

Hey Chick is Back and more!
Hello Stamping Friends,
Several years back during Sale-A-Bration we had a very popular stamp set called Hey Chick! Stampin’ Up! has brought it back –with dies! Not only are they offering dies for that stamp set they are now offering dies for the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in the JJ mini! Take a look see…
There really are chickens with feathers on their head. This picture is a Polish Crested Chicken.
Isn’t it cute!!
. Thanks for the lesson; many of us have learned something new. Now can we go back to those dies?
Those dies are definitely fun! My favorite is the corn stalk, or maybe the cut out Happy Birthday or maybe the chicken wire or the fence or that cool die that looks like twisted crepe paper to decorate for a party or…….
All right all ready! You just need them all!
Here are a few samples from the home office:
. Whew….that fast forward video made me dizzy.
But wasn’t it fun! Shall we hire chickens to hold down our helium balloons at the next party?
Like the fuzzy headed one? Can we keep him?
Not a good idea. Thank you friends for spending some of your time with me today. I hope you are smiling by now!
SAL, Smile A Little
Karen
Do you remember Stampin’ Up! ever bringing back a stamp that was retired years ago?
